Well, Dont worry, its not like my flight was canceled or something, I just wasn’t there in order to fly.
Few month ago, my ant told us that a friend of her, a former worker of the Israeli Airports Authority, which is the body that runs most of the Israeli airports and borders passes is arranging tours in Ben Gurion airport, which goes to places you will usually dont have access to, and asked us if we would like to join.
Me, being the aviation fun I am, quickly took the offer, and than, few month later, 20.7, me, my family, and 2 of my friends went to the tour at Ben Gurion Airport.
What can I say? It was even better than flying from the airport (Yea, thats what I keep telling myself
).
We went almost around the all airport, went to the huge baggage handling basement, operation center, Ramon Tower, which coordinates different bodies in the airport and has a great view on the airport parking/taxiways/runways, and we also walked just a little bit near some of the parking’s and jetways, not enough
Anyway, the best part of it all, that I was allowed to photograph everywhere, and I actually like what I shot.
So here, for your enjoyment, come to Israel, we have a great airport
:
Baggage Handling – I sure do hope they will treat our baggage with a little bit more respect
:
Operation Center/Ramon tower:
El-Al 767-258 4X-EAC:
Ramon Tower
Again, EL-AL 767 4X-EAC, this time for a different position:
Ramon Tower again:
and of course… the duty free!
The beautiful way to the incoming hall:
again, other side is for outgoing flights:
Welcome to Israel – For good and for bad
and we are home.
